The first commercial approved Sunny John built, this model has four stools, two for male, two for female use. It serves the seasonal needs of
EDUCO International's (an outdoor adventure school for children and adults) Crestone, Colorado mountain base camp. It was constructed of strawbale on the south side and rubble masonry on the north side. Both sides have hot and cold water for handsinks and showers serviced with a small greywater septic tank and field. The stools empty into two 1000 gallon septic tanks used as the foundation for the entire south side. There was no use for the waste on site, so they compromised - the tanks are simply pumped every year and processed locally. This design can be adapted very easily to a recycling arrangement if that is what is wanted. Check with
Going Concerns Unlimited for plans for this model.
