The foundation is a 8" wide, 4" thick footer with a cinder block wall finished off with a rebar reinforced bond beam cap. The blocks are filled with a kaolin stabilized wood chip for insulation. Before backfilling, 2" extruded blue foam is lain in against the outside of the walls. The top of the wall is finished off with an EPDM rubber flashing. The footer is kept dry with a perforated drain line embedded in gravel.
