The south entrance (eventually entering into a solar heated greenhouse) viewed from the south east. Note the use of slip formed light clay walls on the south exposures. Light clay walls are a form of construction popularized in European natural building traditions, consisting of clay slurry coated straw packed into vertical walls encapsulating the framing. Robert Laporte of the Natural Home Building Center in Santa Fe was instrimental in demonstating and perfecting this wall building method here and all over America.
