Guidestone's Distro Wood Fired Brick Oven

Conceived as a heat source for the Guidestone CSA Farm Distribution Center and the attached greenhouse, the brick oven's production of bread has been the real bonus! With the help of Alan Scott of Ovencrafters, we put on a workshop and had the unit built in a weekend. With the help of Ed Haimes of Haimes Construction, the project was completely finished in the following weeks.

This is a super efficient oven, requiring only one firing a week to serve the baking and cooking needs of the large family at Guidestone's CSA Farm.  Fired on Friday's, it is ready for pizza that night, bread baking Saturday (anywhere from 20-60 loaves) , casseroles and pot baked recipes on Sunday, and by Wednesday has finally cooled enough to incubate a week's supply of yogurt.  All from one firing with a few armfuls of fuel!
