The beam tipping up and down closes the contacts of the mercury bulb switch, operating a 24 Volts AC water solenoid valve. This one was salvaged from a discarded furnace humidifier. Hooked up to your misting system, the solenoid enables the mist when the Artificial Leaf mesh dries and tips up; shutting down when the weight of the mist on the mesh tips the beam to the off position.
